Tamarind Rice


INGREDIENTS:

  • Cooked rice – 1 cup
  • Tamarind water - 1 tbsp
  • Urad dal - ¼ tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds - ¼ tsp
  • Red Chillies - 2 chopped
  • Mustard seeds  - ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Oil  - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste 

STEPS:

STEP 1: In a pan, heat the oil and temper the mustard seeds, urad dal, fenugreek seeds, curry leaves, and red chilies.

STEP 2: Add the tamarind water and salt, then sauté until the mixture slightly thickens.

STEP 3: Add the cooked rice and mix well until evenly coated with the tamarind mixture.
